About the Role
We are currently recruiting an experienced Traffic Management Supervisor for ongoing contract work across Galway and the wider Southern Ireland region. As a Traffic Management Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring all traffic management operations are carried out safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with Irish regulations.
Key Responsibilities
As a Traffic Management Supervisor, your duties will include:
- Setting up, maintaining, and removing traffic management systems (signs, cones, barriers, lights, etc.)
- Supervising traffic management operations on live construction and roadworks sites
- Ensuring the safety of road users, pedestrians, and all site personnel
- Conducting site risk assessments and ensuring compliance with traffic management plans
- Maintaining strict adherence to health & safety procedures and site rules
- Communicating clearly with site teams, supervisors, and members of the public
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Working flexible shifts, including nights and weekends where required
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this Traffic Management Supervisor position, you must have:
- A valid SLG 3-Day Ticket (Signing, Lighting & Guarding – mandatory)
- Proven experience working in traffic management, construction, or a similar environment
- Strong understanding of health & safety legislation
- A full, clean driving licence
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends
