We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join a well-established precision engineering business based in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist looking to work on large-scale components in a dynamic production environment.
Key Responsibilities of a CNC Turner:
- Setting and operating CNC lathes to produce high-quality precision components
- Machining parts up to 10–12 metres in length
- Working with Fanuc and Fagor control systems
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Safely operating overhead cranes for handling large components
- Maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and safety
Requirements of a CNC Turner:
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner
- Strong knowledge of Fanuc and/or Fagor controls
- Experience machining large components (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Overhead crane experience is essential
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Working Hours:
Operating a 3 shift system (40 hours per week):
Optional hours of the below:
- 06:00 – 14:30
- 07:30 – 16:00
- 14:00 – 22:00
Pay:
- Starting from £16.50 per hour
- Higher rates available depending on experience
