Finance Assistant

In this role you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Finance Team and any other departments. This is a busy department where you will have variety and the opportunity to take on further responsibilities.

  • You will be dealing with high volumes of purchase invoices.
  • Chasing purchase invoice approvals and liaising with suppliers as required
  • Supplier statement reconciliation
  • You will be responsible for monitoring and the allocation of incoming emails to the accounts team.
  • Assisting with month end journals and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Supporting the Financial Controller with SOX testing
  • On a daily basis you will issue customer statements and copy invoices where required
  • Daily you will be required to input bank transactions to ERP.
  • Daily bank reconciliations
  • Any ad hoc duties as required.

Candidate Expectations

  • AAT qualification is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Previous experience of working in both purchase and sales ledger roles.
  • Confident in using Microsoft Outlook including Excel.
  • This role is a varied role where you will be supporting across the finance team so to hit the ground running you need to be flexible.
