Senior Quality Systems Manager

Essential Requirements :

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Quality Manager or Quality Systems Manager
  • Practical knowledge of ISO 9001:2015
  • Experience within the Construction, Engineering or Manufacturing industries
  • Experience of implementing Quality Management Systems
  • Highly motivated, tenacious and able to challenge the current situation
  • Influencing skills, ability to lead without direct authority and ability to engage teams to support
  • Process Based Auditing (IRCA certified - Lead Auditor trained preferred)
  • Experience and track record in successfully managing change and process roll out
  • Strong presentation and communication skills including effective communication
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines with excellent coaching, communication, team working and negotiation skills while judging the business needs
  • Interpreting appropriate processes, procedures, documentation and measures to drive the process based approach to the business
  • Extensive construction knowledge from an ISO perspective
  • Excellent problem solving ability using appropriate team members, range of tools and analytical methods to review, coach and successfully achieve robust 8D resolutions within team based problem -solving activity

Responsibilities & Duties Include –

  • Management of ISO 9001 accredited Quality Management System
  • Ensuring the QMS meets the requirements of ISO 9001:2015
  • Develop and sustain the Quality Management System in line with the required industry standards, accreditation requirements and business requirements across the organisation through existing and new procedures
  • Qualified to a Lead Auditor level with proven ability to train internal auditors and develop an evolving integrated audit plan to optimise audit processes and review multiple customer, regulatory requirements to applicable standards
  • Motivate and coach the team to operational success, both in terms of quality delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Manage document control processes and systems for Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) activities in compliance with internal procedures and policies, as well as regulatory requirements, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), forms, and work instruction
  • Communicating the transition of Quality and QMS to key stakeholders
  • Supporting Change Management
  • Update quality documentation and communicate to carry forward lessons learned from quality concerns
  • Managing the Non-Conformance process and to ensure corrective actions are undertaken
  • Review, implement and update company records e.g. training matrices, performance reviews, risk assessments
  • Provide metrics on the performance of the QMS and to identify and implement changes required based on that data and drives continuous improvement of KPI’s
  • Review, approve, and coordinates follow-up actions of Quality Incident Reports / Quality Deviation Reports (QIRs/QDRs)
  • Embed a culture of continuous improvement throughout the company

Training

  • Assessing training requirements for Staff and sourcing/arranging all courses as applicable
  • Ensuring staff training records are kept up to date (both paper copies and electronic records)
  • Ensuring training renewals are monitored and arranged prior to expiry dates
  • Completion of Training Commitment Forms prior to training being arranged
  • Liaising with other departments (particularly H&S, Construction) with regards new/Client training requirements
  • Liaising with HR department with regards sourcing /booking training for shop floor employees

Security Clearances

  • Coordinating and submitting security clearances for all MoD, MoJ and Education projects
  • Dealing with employees confidential information

Other

  • Processing Orders/Instructions for new projects to the Management and Project Teams
  • Coordinate Handover documents with the Client/Project Team
  • Workspace Security/Admin support to all users
  • Administering new personal injury/insurance claims and liaising with our insurers and H&S department
  • Completing PQQ’s (Quality related information)
