Modular Joiner /Cabin Fitter

Pay Rate: £20.00 per hour (CIS)

The Opportunity

We are URGENTLY looking for experienced Modular Joiners / Cabin Fitters to join our client on a large ongoing contract in York. This role involves refurbishing Modular Units and Porta Cabins within a fast-paced, forward-thinking modular/offsite environment.

About the Role

A Multi-Skilled Modular Joiner / Cabin Fitter is URGENTLY required to support a busy modular construction facility. The successful Modular Joiner / Cabin Fitter will be involved in a wide range of first- and second-fix joinery tasks across modular buildings and cabins.

As a Modular Joiner / Cabin Fitter, your main duties will include:

• Partitioning

• Sectioning modular units

• Using a wide range of joinery tools

• Reading and working from joinery construction drawings

• Erecting stud timber walls

• Marking up timber walls

• Stripping out and replacing floors

• 1st and 2nd fix joinery duties

• Plasterboarding

• Window and door fitting

This role is ideal for a Modular Joiner / Cabin Fitter with strong attention to detail and experience in modular or offsite construction.

Working Hours

Monday – Thursday:
08:30am – 4:30pm

• x2 paid 15-minute breaks

• x1 unpaid 30-minute break

Friday:
07:30am – 3:30pm

• x1 paid 15-minute break

• x1 unpaid 30-minute break

Qualifications and Experience

To be successful as a Modular Joiner / Cabin Fitter, you should have:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in 1st and 2nd fix joinery within the modular sector

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Joinery & Carpentry (preferred)

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to work under pressure

• Ability to work as part of a team

• Ability to work alone and unsupervised when required

• Ideally previous modular construction experience

• Punctual, reliable, and hard-working attitude
