Venatu Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a Semi Skilled Manufacturing Operative on behalf of our client based in the HU3 area. This is a fantastic temp to perm opportunity for an experienced Semi Skilled Manufacturing Operative looking to join a growing manufacturing team producing high-quality modular healthcare facilities.
As a Semi Skilled Manufacturing Operative, you will be part of a skilled production team responsible for assisting with the construction and assembly of modular building elements used in specialist healthcare environments.
The Role
As a Semi Skilled Manufacturing Operative, you will support the manufacturing process by carrying out a variety of practical tasks including:
- Assisting with the assembly and installation of modular building components
- Constructing drywall partitions and basic joinery work
- Working with light gauge steel panels and structural elements
- Using basic hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Supporting skilled operatives with installation, dismantling and maintenance tasks
- Handling building materials such as plasterboard and plywood
- Following construction drawings, specifications and team instructions
- Maintaining high standards of safety, quality and housekeeping on site
This role requires a team-focused Semi Skilled Manufacturing Operative who is comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Skills & Experience Required
The successful Semi Skilled Manufacturing Operative will ideally have:
- Experience within manufacturing, construction, modular builds or similar industries
- Basic knowledge of joinery, steel fabrication, drywall or general building processes
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Ability to read or follow basic technical drawings
- Good manual handling capability and physical fitness
- Strong teamwork skills and a proactive work ethic
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
Any experience with MEWPs, fork trucks, or working at height would be advantageous but is not essential.
