Job Overview:
As the Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a critical role in managing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse. You will be responsible for overseeing the receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials, ensuring inventory accuracy, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring smooth operations.
- Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring accurate stock levels are maintained.
- Coordinate with the project management team to ensure timely delivery of materials for shopfitting projects.
- Implement and monitor inventory control systems to optimise stock levels and reduce wastage.
- Ensure the safe handling, storage, and transportation of materials in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts, investigating discrepancies where necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of warehouse activities, including stock movements and order fulfilments.
- Organize and optimize the warehouse layout to maximize efficiency.
- Liaise with suppliers and transport companies to arrange deliveries and manage logistics.
- Train and mentor warehouse staff, providing ongoing support and development.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar role within the shopfitting, construction, or manufacturing industries.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse management software and inventory control systems.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations related to warehouse operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Forklift certification is an advantage but not essential.
