We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assembly & Machine Operative to join our client's production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly, modification, and finishing of products and associated components, ensuring all work meets high-quality and safety standards.
Hours
Monday – Thursday 9am – 5pm and Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm
25 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays
Primary Duties of an Assembly & Machine Operative

Read and interpret basic engineering drawings.

Assemble and modify standard product components.

Follow written work instructions accurately.

Operate a range of machinery, including milling machines, grinders, stud welders, and wall saws.

Perform deburring, filing, and touch-up painting as required.

Provide technical support to customers via phone and email.

Adhere strictly to all safety and PPE requirements.

Complete tasks efficiently to meet production deadlines.
Supporting Duties of an Assembly & Machine Operative

Carry out basic maintenance and upkeep of machinery.

Assist with packing finished goods for dispatch.

Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Provide technical support to colleagues when required.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills and Attributes required for a Assembly & Machine Operative

Experience required for a Assembly & Machine Operative

Previous experience in an assembly or machining environment is desirable.

Experience operating a milling machine is advantageous.

Must demonstrate a good understanding of workplace safety standards.

Occasional travel to customer sites may be required.
