B2 Forklift Truck Driver – Urgent Requirement
Location: Manchester
Hours: Full-time – 40 hours per week (overtime available)
Pay Rate: £14.50 per hour
We are urgently recruiting an experienced B2 (Up to 15 tonnes) Forklift Truck Driver to join our client’s busy offsite and modular construction facility in Manchester. This is an excellent temp-to-permanent opportunity within a rapidly growing sector.
The Role
You will be a key part of the yard and production team, supporting daily operations within a modular manufacturing environment. The role involves the safe movement of portable units and construction materials, ensuring all work is carried out efficiently and in full compliance with health & safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating a B2 forklift safely to load, unload, and move portable units, including Triple Stacking
- Transporting construction materials and modular units around the yard and workshop
- Assisting modular trades with production tasks when required
- Completing routine forklift checks and reporting any faults
- Supporting the cleaning, servicing, and preparation of modular units
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area
- Reducing material waste and supporting cost efficiency
- Strictly adhering to all site health & safety procedures
- Assisting yard staff during quieter forklift periods
Skills & Experience
- Valid B2 Forklift licence – Essential
- Ideally with Triple Stacking experience
- Previous experience in offsite, modular, construction, or manufacturingenvironments (highly desirable)
- Flexible and able to adapt to a variety of tasks
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work with minimal supervision
