Hours: 07:30 – 17:15
About the Role
We are recruiting for a Streetscape HGV Driver to support a busy environmental services team. This role combines HGV driving with active outdoor work, including walking long distances and handling bins and bulky waste items.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving and operating an HGV Class 2 (Category C) vehicle
- Assisting with pulling/moving household bins
- Walking 8–12 miles per day (physical fitness essential)
- Collecting bulky items from residential properties
- Supporting general Streetscape duties (environmental maintenance, waste tasks)
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Cat C) licence
- Driver CPC + Digital Tachograph Card
- Maximum 6 points on licence
- No DR or IN convictions
- Experience in HGV work or environmental/waste operations
- Ability to carry out manual handling
- Comfortable walking long distances daily
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work in variable weather
- Good teamwork and communication skills
