HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic
Location: Bishops Stortford
Salary: Up to £61,750 basic
Working Hours: Monday – Friday 7am - 5pm (Some on-call required but not very often)
We’re working with a business that’s been operating for over 15 years, running a busy in-house fleet maintenance and repair operation. Their fleet includes 15–26 tonne vehicles, with brands such as MAN, Scania, DAF, and Volvo, as well as specialist hook loaders and mounted equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
- As a HGV Technician you will conduct routine maintenance and inspections on HGV vehicles/Plant (15-26 tonne) aswell as specialised mounted equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
- Carry out MOT preparations and ensure vehicles meet compliance standards.
- To cover breakdowns with occasional on-call
- Complete all work to a high standard and in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
