The Role
An established and growing precision engineering company in Huddersfield is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist with strong milling and turning capabilities to join their expanding workshop team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in programming, setting and operating CNC machinery, producing both one-off components and batch work to high precision standards. This position offers long-term stability within a well-equipped workshop and excellent working conditions.
Key Responsibilities of a CNC Machinist

Program, set and operate XYZ CNC milling machines and live-tooling lathes

Work confidently with SIEMENS ShopMill and ShopTurn controls

Manufacture precision components from engineering drawings

Produce high-quality one-off and batch work

Maintain accuracy and efficiency while meeting production targets

Work closely with the Workshop Manager and production team
Requirements of a CNC Machinist

Strong experience in CNC milling and turning

Highly competent with SIEMENS controls (ShopMill & ShopTurn essential)

Ability to program, set and operate independently

Experience producing precision components and varied work

Flexible approach and strong attention to detail

What’s on Offer

£17–£18 per hour depending on experience

40-hour working week with early Friday finish
