Shift Pattern Rotating weekly: Week 1: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm / Week 2: Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

The Role
As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining a varied fleet of commercial and municipal vehicles, ensuring they remain safe, compliant, and operational at all times.
Duties will include:
- Routine servicing, maintenance, and repair of HGVs and fleet vehicles
- Working on refuse collection vehicles (RCVs) and municipal vehicles
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
- Carrying out inspections, safety checks, and preventative maintenance
- Preparing vehicles to DVSA standards
- Completing maintenance records and job documentation accurately
- Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, HGV Fitter, LGV Technician, or Commercial Vehicle Technician
- NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualification preferred
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Good understanding of DVSA standards and compliance requirements
