Despatch Operative
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Despatch Operative to join a busy and fast-paced warehouse and distribution team for a manufacturing company.
Key Responsibilities of a Despatch Operative:
- Picking, packing, and dispatching customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely.
- Operating warehouse management systems and completing dispatch documentation.
- Moving stock within the warehouse using material handling equipment.
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and health & safety.
Essential Requirements of a Despatch Operative:
- Valid Reach Truck Licence
- Valid Counterbalance Licence
- Valid VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) Licence
- Previous experience in a warehouse or despatch environment.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Flexible approach to work and willingness to work shifts.
Shift Pattern of a Despatch Operative:
- 4 on / 4 off rotating shift pattern
- Days and Nights available
- 6:00am – 6:00pm / 6:00pm – 6:00am
- Average of 42 hours per week
- 1-hour paid break included in every shift
