What did you want to be when you grew up?
When I was growing up, I always wanted to be on the stage, I danced and did musical theatre at school and college, but unfortunately through playing football as well as dancing I damaged my knee and couldn’t pursue this, so I thought about the police force to work within the police dog division, it was always something I wanted to do as well as being on stage. However, I fell into the wonderful world of recruitment at age 18 and I just got the bug for it and now I realised I’m a little crazy for the police LOL.
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
My favourite food ever is prawn cocktails, I literally have about 5 before my Christmas dinner. But they would have to be my grandma’s prawn cocktails as she just makes the most amazing ones ever!
What is your favourite memories from the past year and why?
Joining as a coach for my son’s football team, I love the sport and being a bystander just wasn’t cutting it, I saw a gap where I could help and support but also built the little one’s confidence. It was magical when a parent of a boy thanked me for helping him come out of his shell and giving him the confidence, he went from not talking and not kicking a ball to being a right chatter box and scoring goals. Also my own son moving into a new striking position and he is now top goal score. Proud Mum and Proud Coach!
