1st Line IT Support

My client based in Huddersfield are a leading Manufacturer of goods to various end user customer. Having witnessed growth year on year through acquisition they seek to add to their existing team 1st Line IT Support person who can bring to their team Application support experience.

THE ROLE

  • £22,000 - £24,000 per annum (DOE)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide Application (including CRM, ERP and Mobile) technical support professionally and efficiently, maintaining a high degree of customer service throughout
    • Support 1st Line issues if required
    • Work effectively and productively with identified 3rd line support
    • Take ownership of user problems, assist with performing a technical diagnosis and fix either remotely or onsite
    • Document all support calls on the IT Service Management call logging system
    • Maintain user security on all systems
    • Support users in the use of computer equipment by providing relevant advice
    • Arrange for external support whenever problems cannot be resolved in house
    • Assist in the routine preventative maintenance on all systems on a scheduled basis
    • Production of Operational and Technical Documentation to agreed standards

CANDIDATE EXPECTATIONS

  • Confident to work with 1st line Application issues
  • Basic knowledge of Windows 7/10 operating systems,
  • Basic knowledge of Networking (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS)
  • Basic knowledge of Active Directory
  • Experience in troubleshooting Microsoft Office products
  • Utilise remote Access tools such as TeamViewer
  • Good understanding of PC/Laptop hardware and software set-up and configuration
  • Flexibility to working hours is essential – as you may be still on a call at the end of the working day that needs completing
  • Supporting Drivers, Technicians or Engineers in the field would be of advantage
  • Any experience of Mobile Device Management would also be advantageous
