Accounts Assistant / Sales Ledger

Venatu are looking for an Accounts Assistant / Sales Ledger in Elland.

THE ROLE

  • Accounts Assistant / Sales Ledger
  • Elland
  • £22,000 per annum

RESPONSIBILITY

  • General Sales Ledger duties e.g. raising and uploading invoices and credits, posting daily receipts, reconciling accounts, submitting statements of accounts etc
  • Liaise with other staff members regarding customer account queries
  • Deal with customer queries over phone and by email
  • Set up new customer accounts and maintain existing account details
  • Create weekly Debtors report and distribute to other staff members
  • Ensuring credit limits are not exceeded, taking relevant action if this occurs
  • Ensuring accounts are paid according to terms, chasing by phone and/or email, producing and updating ‘stop list’, occasionally issuing claims to county court
  • Process credit account applications, obtain credit reports, monitoring credit ratings and securing credit insurance
  • Obtaining letters of credit if and when needed
  • Produce reports, ad-hoc reporting as and when needed eg customer turnover, unresolved queries, top 50 customers etc
