I am currently in the market seeking a Global PPE Certification Director in Hemel Hempstead. The key focus of the role will be to innovate, build and grow the business and set a vision to create service excellence to clients. This role requires someone very commercial and analytically minded that has experience leading teams. You will be responsible for the direct commercial and operational excellence teams. Someone that comes from a Safety/ PPE background is essential for this role. Global travel will be required to further grow the business.
As the Global PPE Certification Director, you will:
-Identify and explore opportunities for continual growth, diversity and improvement for the business -Be responsible for the ongoing development of the team to meet objectives -Liaise with Companies operations globally to develop local delivery resources as needed to respond to market needs -Present at industry events, groups and be a brand ambassador for the company. -Effectively manage a team through change -Explore and be the lead for new product development for the stream -Monitor, manage and report an effective KPI system -Build strong collaborative relationships within each of the regions to further globalize the company business, specifically with Product Certification team members. -Work closely with the International Testing & Certification team to ensure effective delivery of the product stream strategy. -Lead the team to achieve agreed delivery targets and ensure compliance with operational and administrative procedures and SLA’s. -Promote and facilitate thought-leadership within the business practice. -Responsible for the product stream budgeted sales, revenue, and costs through the effective delivery of Certification and Testing whilst ensuring accurate forecasting.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
To become the Global PPE Certification Director you will need:
-Commercially minded with a strong business acumen -Be able to think outside the box -In depth experience in either Fire Protection, Personal Safety or PPE, and product certification -Driven with a track record of delivering growth -Minimum 5 years manufacturing and engineering experience -Be client centric -Proven leadership, change and people management experience -Degree qualified in a relevant discipline -Knowledge and experience in Certification body/ Compliance/ Quality
