Payroll Manager

An established accountancy firm is looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to join their team. This is a fast-paced, forward-thinking practice that has really embraced modern ways of working and as such, the successful candidate will have the option to work from home and in their office on the outskirts of Rotherham.

As an experienced Payroll professional, you will ideally have a practice-based background and must be confident dealing with high-volume payroll services for a portfolio of clients and meeting strict deadlines.

This role reports directly into the Partners.

Responsibilities

  • Ownership of the payroll services for a portfolio of clients
  • Confident with SSP, SMP, and SPP calculations
  • RTI submissions to the HMRC
  • Payroll reconciliations
  • Calculation of Furlough payments
  • Run payroll reports
  • Resolve any queries
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date payroll information to support business and legal requirements

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of payroll experience in a client-based environment (bureau or practice)
  • A solid understanding of the end-to-end payroll process
  • Experience managing your own client portfolio (in payroll)
  • Confident using IT software including Sage Payroll
