Sales Consultant

Our client is looking for a number of Sales Consultants to join their team to promote the products and services they offer. The opportunity would be to join a growing business that has achieved tremendous results in 2020. They are now planning to continue the growth by adding to the existing team.

The role would be reporting directly to the Head of Sales. This is a good opportunity for the right people to join a business that offers clear progression opportunities. The career path could lead you to be taking demonstrations or be field-based.

Key Purpose of Role

  • Drive sales and revenue generation efforts by creating opportunities and engaging customers, being the front line of outbound activity and the voice for new and potential customers.

  • Your focus will be on booking appointments through outbound calling, arranging product demos, qualifying leads, and processing new incoming enquiries.

  • Be a key point of contact between the business and its clients.

  • The role is central to revenue generation and growth of the business.

Principle activities

  • Making outbound sales calls to warm and cold leads via CRM Campaigns
  • Receiving enquiries from inbound calls
  • Qualifying all leads to ensure they match the business product offerings.
  • Booking demos/visits into the sales teams’ diaries
  • Updating the CRM system to ensure accurate information is recorded.
  • Accurately forecast demo numbers per week/month
  • Prepare relevant sales information showing potential appointment volume and areas of proposed interest.
  • Reach all KPI’s including call volume, talk time and demo booked numbers.
  • Effectively manage diaries to maximise journey time.
  • Generate leads for other business units via cross-selling and upsell.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a similar technical support or sales role
  • Must have business-to-business sales experience.
  • Effective member of a team, able to work with people at all levels.
  • Excellent sales skills with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and consistency.
  • Treats people with respect; works with integrity and honesty.
  • Able to adapt to changes and competing demands.
  • Takes responsibility for own actions; commits to work hours necessary to deliver goals.
  • Maths and English GCSE Grade Cor equivalent
  • Well-developed knowledge of MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access
