Sales Trainer

Venatu are excited to be working with an award-winning and renowned Yorkshire business who are going through a period of significant growth. As a result, they are keen to add to their Learning & Development team and are looking for an experienced Sales Trainer to join the company.

The role

  • Ensure all sales staff receive additional on the job training in line with post-induction training schedule
  • Deliver regular refresher training and support on the job training for the teams in Leeds and Halifax
  • Deliver one to one coaching and training to help influence the sales performance of the account managers
  • Document all coaching sessions and make sure sessions are followed up to meet the expectations of the employee and the business needs.
  • Review the best practice within training across the business and make recommendations to the National Training Manager on possible improvements to the training programmes
  • Maintain full product knowledge and understanding of fuel card products, the competition and the market to ensure that any knowledge picked up is communicated to any starters
  • Liaise regularly with Sales Managers and the National Training Manager in reviewing new starter progress and agree on objectives for training and coaching.
  • Any ad-hoc staff, sales manager training and delivery of presentations to employees
  • To be considered for this superb opportunity, you will demonstrate the below skills and experience.

Skills required

  • Supervisor experience or above as the role will involve covering managers in their absence
  • Experience within a team leader role or above
  • As you will have input into new training, part of the job will involve creating and putting sales packs together
  • Excellent verbal communication, listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Be enthusiastic, bubbly and a great communicator
  • Confident and have the ability to give constructive feedback to all colleagues
  • Be hardworking, creative and enthusiastic
  • Good standard of education, preferably with a C or equivalent in English and Maths
  • CIPD Level 3 Diploma Learning & Development (or equivalent/ higher) preferable
  • Experience working in an office environment is essential, preferably with Sales experience
  • Supervisory skills would be advantageous
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages- Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Hold a valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle

  • Bonus of £1,500- This is up to £750 paid every 6 months depending on business performance
