Service Manager

Venatu Recruitment Group are working on behalf of a well established national dealership in the truck and van industry. We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Service Manager with a working background in Truck and Van dealerships to join their aftersales department.

Hours

  • Permanent – Full Time - 40 hours per week. Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays.

The Role and Duties:

The client are looking to add to their busy workshop in their Doncaster branch with an experienced Service Manager to adopt and assume full operational responsibility for the workshop. If you have main dealer experience then this role may be for you.

You must possess:

  • A good working in-depth knowledge of the truck industry or strong background in the motor trade.
  • Ability to lead a team and apply excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience in a Service Manager or Leadership role within the motor trade is essential
  • Excellent organisational and management skills.
  • IT Literate - with good working knowledge of excel required.
  • Experience of working with vehicle diagnostic equipment and systems.

You will:

  • To ensure performance of workshop team and to be responsible for team hitting targets and bonus.
  • To manage the Service Department; looking after appraisals, overseeing hours worked and control overtime.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to implement processes which allow accurate and easy invoicing.
  • Oversee the workshop team are working efficiently and effectively to drive company revenue and retain customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure Quality Control by maintaining inspection over work completed and ensuring it complies with customer needs, standards within the timescales agreed.
  • To maintain communication with customer on the process throughout and kept updated on works completed and any change in cost or time needed to complete the project.
  • To carry out regular customer care appointments to ensure customer satisfaction.
