Role Overview
We are seeking a Product / Contracts Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in managing client relationships, ensuring technical and commercial control of projects, and supporting the Construction Manager in delivering high-quality energy solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, proficiency in AutoCAD 2D LT, and experience in project management within the energy or construction sectors. This role will be mainly office based in the head office near Sheffield but with some site based visits and activities required.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their requirements are met and maintaining strong, ongoing relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Technical Oversight: Develop and review technical drawings using AutoCAD 2D LT, ensuring designs meet client specifications and industry standards.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and monitor projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
- Commercial Management: Oversee contractual agreements, manage project budgets, and ensure financial objectives are achieved.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards in project delivery.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and contribute to the development of best practices within the organization.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Background in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a similar role within the energy sector, with a focus on CHP systems, solar, or battery storage projects
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D LT; strong understanding of engineering principles and energy systems.
- Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients and internal teams.
- Good attitude and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as and when required.
