We are recruiting for a Service Engineer to join our client’s experienced field service team, supporting customers across the North of the UK, with occasional travel further afield and overnight stays.
This is a field-based role covering the North of England, ideal for an engineer with a precision/mechanical background who thrives on working independently and enjoys delivering outstanding customer service on-site.
Hours of Work
40 Hours Per Week
Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5pm

Key Responsibilities of a Service Engineer
- Represent the client at customer premises with professionalism and technical expertise.
- Install measuring equipment across customer sites.
- Service, calibrate, and repair high-accuracy systems.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.
Key Requirements of a Service Engineer
- HNC/BTEC or equivalent in an engineering discipline, or relevant industry experience.
- Full, valid UK driving license.
- Strong communication, organisational skills, and attention to detail.
- Good IT literacy (MS Office, system tools, diagnostics software).
Desirable Attributes
- Background in precision/mechanical engineering.
- Practical, hands-on experience with mechanical systems.
- Experience in fault-finding and using electrical test equipment.
- Completion of a technical apprenticeship, or a BTEC including electrical modules.
- Strong time management and interpersonal skills.
- Looking for long-term career stability and consistency.
