An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Field Service Engineer to join a growing service team supporting customers across the Sheffield region and surrounding areas. This is a field-based role, working independently at customer sites while being supported by a central service centre.
The role involves the installation, servicing, repair, and calibration of precision measuring equipment, ensuring customers receive high-quality technical support and reliable performance from their equipment.
Hours Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5pm

Key Responsibilities of a Field Service Engineer
- Visit customer sites to install precision measuring equipment.
- Carry out planned service and calibration activities.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults, including fault finding, diagnosis, and rectification.
- Provide professional technical support while representing the company at customer premises.
Requirements of a Field Service Engineer
- BTEC (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline, or relevant industry experience.
- Strong communication and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good IT skills.
- Full, valid driving licence.
Desirable Skills of a Field Service Engineer
- Experience fault finding on mechanical and/or electrical systems.
- Strong time management skills and ability to work independently.
- Good interpersonal skills and a customer-focused approach.
