RESPONSIBILITIES

• Educated to degree level in design, engineering or similar and or a minimum of five years’ experience at management level
• Excellent organisational and project management skills
• Excellent knowledge and experience of SolidWorks CAD package or similar
• Ability to lead a team including planning, motivation, organisation, communication and development
• Have a strong eye for detail with the ability to identify and solve problems
• Good knowledge of packaging machinery (thermoform machinery)
• Understanding of regulatory requirements of the role of design in the safety of machinery including the machinery directive. Experienced in the use of relevant standards to demonstrate compliance with directives.
• Experienced in standard manufacturing (workshop) techniques, capabilities and practices
• A competent knowledge and experience of working with special purpose machinery
• Ideally a competent knowledge of mould tools and moulding machines
• Have a positive attitude with a professional, patient and approachable personality
• Good computer skills, ideally to encompass Microsoft, Outlook and FileMaker
