Location: Sutterton, Lincolnshire
Salary: £26,000 – £32,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm

About the Role:
We are working with a global seed breeding specialist (client confidential) to recruit a Polish-speaking Field Trials & Quality Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in agriculture, horticulture, vegetable handling, or quality control who is looking to develop a career in crop research and trials. You will assist with brassica field trials, focusing on cabbage, and contribute to breeding programs across the UK and Northern Europe.
Key Responsibilities:

Support the establishment, maintenance, and evaluation of cabbage storage trials in the UK and Northern Europe (Poland, Germany, etc.)

Collect trial data, prepare reports, and share findings with international teams

Assist in hybrid evaluations and research activities for other brassica crops

Manage seed inventory and prepare shipments for trials and pathology tests

Collaborate with growers, internal teams, and external partners

Occasional travel within Northern Europe
Requirements:
-
Agricultural/horticultural qualification OR experience in vegetable handling, crop trials, or quality control

Knowledge of brassica crops, pests, and diseases is desirable

Physically fit and comfortable with outdoor fieldwork in all weather conditions

Organised, reliable, and proactive team player

Fluent in Polish and English (spoken and written)

MS Office proficient

Category B driving license
Languages:
Essential: English (fluent, spoken and written).
Highly desirable: Polish, German
Beneficial Dutch, French, Japanese
