We are recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturer seeking a Production Planner to join their dynamic team. This is a key role responsible for translating demand into efficient production and material plans—ensuring smooth supply chain execution and customer satisfaction.
What You will Be Doing:
- Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) aligned with forecasts, stock targets, and customer demand.
- Translate the MPS into clear, actionable production and materials plans.
- Work closely with procurement, operations, warehouse, and sales teams to ensure material readiness.
- Monitor work-in-progress (WIP) and resolve bottlenecks or delays.
- Adjust plans based on changes in demand, capacity, or supply disruptions.
- Analyse production capacity and propose solutions (e.g. shifts, overtime, subcontracting).
- Manage planning parameters such as lead times, reorder points, and safety stock levels.
- Support the S&OP process with up-to-date planning data and insights.
What You will Bring:
- 2–5 years’ experience in production or materials planning, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Proficient in Excel and familiar with ERP/MRP systems like Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, or Oracle.
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent organisational skills.
- Confident communicator and effective cross-functional team player.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing, inventory control, and capacity planning.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- A qualification in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
- Experience working in make-to-order, make-to-stock, or mixed-mode manufacturing environments.
