We’re seeking a skilled CNC Turner for our client to set up, program, and operate CNC lathes handling large and complex cylindrical components. The successful candidate will play a key role in manufacturing precision parts at scale, ensuring exceptional quality and efficiency in high‑demand industrial applications.

Job Responsibilities of a CNC Turner
- Set up and operate CNC turning machines to produce long shaft components (up to 10 meters in length).
- Machine components to tight tolerances, ensuring high precision and quality.
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Use steady rests for stability when machining long shafts and complex parts.
- Conduct in-process inspections, including using ultrasonic wall thickness gauges to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate effectively with the production team to meet deadlines and optimize workflow.
- Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC machinery to ensure continuous operation.
- Follow all health, safety, and company policies and procedures.
Requirements of a CNC Turner
- Time served or apprentice trained in CNC Machining, particularly Turning of long components
- Experience of programming Fanuc Controls
- Skilled in using precision measurement tools and ensuring strict adherence to specifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to quality—working well within a team environment.
