Assistant Service Manager – Automotive Dealership
Location: Crewe
Salary: £35,000 OTE up to £41,000
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:30pm
Saturdays: On a rota
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant Service Manager to join a well-established dealership in Crewe. If you’ve got a strong background in aftersales and are ready to step up into a leadership role, this could be the perfect move for you.
Working closely with the Service Manager, you’ll play a key part in the day-to-day running of the service department. From supporting the team to driving workshop performance and ensuring top-tier customer service, this is a hands-on, varied role with real responsibility.
What you’ll be doing:

Assisting with the smooth operation of the service department

Organising and allocating work to technicians to maximise efficiency

Supporting and guiding service advisors, acting as a key point of contact

Handling technical queries and resolving customer concerns

Monitoring workshop performance and supporting achievement of key KPIs

Accurately completing job cards, reports, and warranty documentation

Staying informed of industry standards, technical bulletins, and compliance updates
What we’re looking for:

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair

Previous experience in a dealership service or aftersales environment

Strong organisational and communication skills

Comfortable using dealer management systems (training can be provided)

A proactive approach and attention to detail

Good understanding of warranty processes and workshop performance targets

A full UK driving licence

A team-focused attitude and a passion for customer service
